For popular cruises, it is smart to start planning 12–24 months in advance, especially if you want a specific itinerary or cabin type at a better price. For holiday trips that involve flights and in‑demand resorts, planning 11–12 months ahead is recommended because these dates are among the first to sell out. In today’s travel market, last‑minute deals and wide availability are much less common than they were before 2020, so earlier planning gives you better choices and less stress. 

After you complete a short inquiry form, most clients only need a focused consultation and a few quick check-ins to finalize their plans. For cruise or all-inclusive requests, a few days may be all it takes before you are ready to approve and we can book your trip. For groups or more complexe custom-planned itineraries, the planning process will depend on suppliers and other factors such as season of year and time zones.

Yes. I can coordinate options for your whole group, then provide a clear plan and payment deadlines so everyone stays on track. This helps avoid confusion, reduces the pressure on the main organizer, and keeps the group focused on enjoying time together. 

If flights are disrupted, plans need to change, or issues arise at your destination, your advisor can help coordinate with suppliers and suggest alternatives if needed. Instead of spending hours on hold or searching for solutions yourself, you have a professional to turn to for support and options. 

Travel advisors are typically paid by a combination of partner commissions after travel and, when needed, planning fees for custom or complex trips. This structure allows you to access expert help and support without paying extra for every single component while still ensuring I am compensated for my time and expertise. 

For many trips, you pay similar prices to booking on your own because travel partners pay most of my compensation. I charge planning fees for custom work that start at $100 for new clients and increase for complex itineraries or larger groups, based on the complexity and size of the group. Long‑time legacy clients are grandfathered into my earlier structure and are not charged planning fees for cruise or all‑inclusive requests. 

I charge a planning fee because planning a trip involves significant expertise and time beyond what supplier commissions cover. Your custom itinerary requires destination research, may require quote comparisons across multiple suppliers, reservation management, and support before and during your trip. Not all travel options pay commissions, so the planning fee ensures I can recommend what's truly best for your trip, not just what pays me. It also confirms you're serious about planning rather than price-shopping, which allows me to invest the necessary time and attention into creating the right experience for you.
