Life is stressful. We try our best to manage or avoid stress but it's all around us in our daily lives. From the moment you turn on the TV, pick up your mobile device or a newspaper, until you turn off the light at night, we are bombarded with nonstop information overload and negative messages.
Because of this, Wellness Travel is one of the fastest growing trends in travel. We are all looking for an escape from the negativity, even if just for a weekend. With so much emphasis on self-care, we need to actually practice it instead of just repeating this mantra to others or sharing a meme about it on social media.
Outta Here Travels is proud to be able to offer our clients Select Experiences from Travel Leaders. Select Experiences offer some of the most luxurious accommodations, villas, cruises and experiences all over the world. As a Select Partner, we are able to provide our clients an upgraded Select Perks experience comparable to another luxury travel company.

Amangiri - Kanab, Utah
Amangiri (‘peaceful mountain’) lies at the centre of the USA's Grand Circle, surrounded by the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and Bryce and Zion National Parks. Boasting some of the country's most dramatic scenery, this ancient landscape of deep canyons and towering plateaus – the last remnants of truly wild America – is home to the native Navajo tribe.
Situated on 243 hectares (600 acres) in Canyon Point, southern Utah, Amangiri's concrete structure appears hewn from the rocks. Contemporary and minimalist, the bold design showcases the incredible scenery: windows frame ancient mesas and breathtaking desert skies, and the main swimming pool curves around a dramatic stone escaprment. Guests arrive via a winding road that leads to the property's central Pavilion, from where vistas unfold towards the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Built around the main pool, the Pavilion houses the Dining Room, which opens onto an outdoor dining terrace overlooking the pool; the Living Room; a library; gallery; private dining room; and a cellar. Beyond the Pavilion, the open-air Desert Lounge offers a relaxing space for enjoying sunsets and stargazing. A number of open-air venues – the Fireside Pavilion, the Chinle Site, Saddle Landing and Raven's Nest – are available for private dining and events.
Two accommodation wings spread from the Pavilion towards the desert. Air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter, each of the 34 suites enjoys sweeping views from a spacious deck, and many offer private pools and roof terraces. The four-bedroom Mesa Home enjoys complete seclusion, with full access to all the resort’s facilities.
A destination in itself, ideal for wellness retreats, Amangiri's Aman Spa covers 2,322 square metres (25,000 square feet). Facilities include a water pavilion for hydrotherapy treatments; a floatation-therapy pavilion and a watsu pool; five treatment rooms; two outdoor treatment terraces; a finishing salon; a yoga pavilion; and a comprehensive gym.

Summer 2020 will definitely go down in the history books for the travel industry thanks to COVID-19. The world is freaked out by this new virus that has been making it's way to numerous countries as of the time I'm writing this.
The good news? It doesn't appear to be near as nasty as it's older siblings, SARS and MERS but it seems to be much more contagious. If you are in good overall health, the virus doesn't seem to be near as severe. Unfortunately, it has taken it's toll on the elderly and those with compromised immunity.
Thousands have been forced to cancel their plans for upcoming Spring and Summer travel either out of fear of the unknown brought on by the 24/7 news cycle, by orders from their employers implementing travel restrictions, or out of a legitimate health concern.
Do or your do you not travel this summer? I mean, there are some really excellent deals starting to show up and it looks like this may only be the start of some great deals as travel suppliers try to make up for business lost in the first quarter of this year. If you are in a position to take advantage of the travel deals, GO FOR IT! Give Outta Here Travels a call and let's get you hooked up.
What if there's no way you can even think about going on a cruise or relaxing on a Caribbean beach? Never fear, the great thing about our majestic country is the multitude of options she provides.
Want to relax on a beach with a tropical drink in hand? It's a good thing the US has 95,471 miles of shoreline. (National Ocean Service) More of a mountain type of person? There are 3 major mountain ranges in the US, the Rockies and the Sierra Nevada ranges out west and the Appalachians in the east. Don't forget the deserts of the Southwest, the marshlands of the Southeast and the grasslands of the Plains.
Now that you have an idea of where you want to go, it's time to figure out how do you want to get there, where to stay and what activities do you want to do (or not do). This summer the theme, may be flexibility and an open-mind. Right now, we honestly don't know how this may play out. If you want to fly, just know there may be a change of your flight being cancelled. There may be certain activities that operate at a limited capacity, reduced hours or even stop for awhile. You need to be willing to have a plan B or go with the flow. Be prepared for longer wait time in airports or other public places if they start implementing health screening check-points like we have already seen on cruises and in many ports and airports throughout Europe, Asia, and now some in the US. If you take medications, you may want to pack an additional two-week supply in the unlikely event you do end in a quarantine situation. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
I do not recommend booking any type of non-refundable rates and if you must then please purchase a travel protection policy that is "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR). As of this writing, CFAR is about the only type of policy that will allow you to cancel and receive a portion of your money back. It will not cover Coronavirus specifically, but they do allow you flexibility of changing your mind for just about any other reason and protecting the bulk of your financial investment. Coverage varies greatly by provider and policy and I can suggest a few different policies for you to look at and put you in touch with the proper individuals to answer any of your questions.
What can you personally do to protect yourself while traveling?
I'd love to hear your thoughts and any tips you'd like to add. Are you planning on taking a summer vacation? If so, where are you traveling to?
